What is a Root Canal?

Watch this video to learn more about root canal therapy and how it allows you to save damaged and infected teeth.

Root canals allow us to save teeth. Root canal procedure was invented in the thirties. In the forties. It’s usually done in 2 to 3 visits. And because a tooth needs a root canals means it’s abscessed. But what happens is the nerve inside the tooth has died. We take an x ray and like I said we have complimentary exams so people come in, we can tell them exactly what they need.

Once we see the X-ray, oh, you had an abscess tooth. Well, all we do is we’ll do a root canal procedure, basically cleaning out the infection. Be on an antibiotic for a couple of weeks, week or so. And then basically we fill it with a rubber material. But then you have to do is you have to stabilize the tooth enough to make it function.

So we usually put a procedure that involves a post and an epoxy. We give you some form of a tooth or at least a structure in top of it, and then we make a cap or a crown that fits over. And we offer a complimentary exam. Come on in. And we’ll be more than happy to take a look. See if that works for you.
