While more traditional orthodontics focus on shifting your teeth gradually into their ideal position, instant orthodontics doesn’t involve moving your teeth at all! Instead, we simply cover the imperfections of your smile to present a straighter, more uniform look.

Instant Orthodontic Treatments
At East Longmeadow Family Dental Center, we utilize 3 distinct procedures to straighten and improve the appearance of your smile.
Bonding
Using a tooth-colored composite resin, we gently cover your imperfections, shaping it to create a more refined appearance. With this resin, we conceal small gaps, stains, and cracks, presenting a more uniform appearance. Amazingly, this procedure is non-invasive, as it only involves a light etching of the teeth to prepare them for the application of the resin.
Once in place, we’ll bond the resin to your tooth to create a smooth and even look. Unlike braces, which can take up to 2 years to complete, we typically perform dental bonding treatments in a single appointment.
Crowns
In some cases, your smile may need a more intensive treatment. For patients with significant decay or dental trauma, we may use a dental crown to both enhance the appearance of your smile and strengthen your tooth’s structure. By shaving down some of the outer material of your tooth, we’re able to fit a custom-made crown on top.
These tooth-shaped caps are designed to fit in with your smile, ensuring your teeth are uniform and straight. Rather than waiting for your new smile, dental crowns take a maximum of 3 weeks to craft and place.
Veneers
Dental veneers are thin slivers of porcelain that cover the front of your tooth like an artificial fingernail. Rather than fixing the issues with your smile, veneers cover them instead, allowing you to customize your smile down to the very last detail.
