Why Choose Implant Dentures?

Traditional tooth replacement options, like dentures, replace the surface of your smile. However, they don’t replace the tooth roots below your gums that your natural teeth once had.

But after losing teeth, you lose their roots, leaving your jaw unstimulated. Over time, the bone will shrink in mass and volume, changing the shape of your face and making it more difficult to replace missing teeth.

But with dental implants, we can stop bone loss and restore your smile! These titanium screws anchor into your jaw to replace missing tooth roots. Not only does this provide the necessary stimulation to keep your bone healthy, but it also creates a strong foundation that secures denture restorations.

With implant dentures, you can chew and function normally without worrying about your prosthetic loosening over time. These implant dentures will stay secure, break down food, and keep your jawbone healthy.

Breaking Down the Price of Dentures

The price of your dentures depends largely on what type of denture you need.

Partial dentures are the least expensive, as they use the least amount of material. The acrylic base fits around your remaining teeth, replacing gaps in your smile without disrupting their structure. Traditional dentures are also inexpensive, as they are easier to design and craft.

With implant dentures, pricing gets more complicated.

The number of implants you need and the type of restoration make a big difference in price. At East Longmeadow Family Dental Center, we offer three types of dentures retained with mini dental implants.

  • Snap-on overdentures: For a solution that is similar to a traditional denture, we have a snap-on overdenture. This prosthetic has a similar gum base, but with housings inside to “snap” onto your mini implants. A snap-on overdenture is removable, allowing you to clean your gums and denture with ease.
  • Semi-removable roundhouse bridges: If you’re looking for a more secure solution with less of the traditional denture base, we also offer roundhouse bridges. This bridge is similar to a denture, as it replaces all of your missing teeth. But unlike a denture, a roundhouse bridge rests directly on your implants just above your gum line. A semi-removable roundhouse bridge is never removed by you, keeping it secure in your smile. Only we will remove this prosthetic for routine maintenance.
  • Non-removable roundhouse bridges: For the most secure and natural looking/feeling solution, we reccomend the non-removable roundhouse bridge. This denture doesn’t need a gum base, creating an incredibly sleek and natural-looking smile. Then, because this particular denture is non-removable, it provides the ultimate stability. With non-removable roundhouse bridges, you can chew all the foods you love with zero hesitation, and simply brush your teeth like normal afterwards.

Making Your Implant Dentures More Affordable

Typically, dental insurance does cover traditional and partial dentures. However, this coverage rarely extends to dental implant treatment.

For those without insurance coverage, the out-of-pocket costs of implants may be overwhelming. But at East Longmeadow Family Dental Center, we offer flexible financing options through third-party lenders!

These companies will pay for your treatment upfront, helping you restore your smile. Then, you can break the price of dentures into smaller, more manageable monthly payments.

Depending on which plan is best for you, you can choose long or short-term financing that will lower your financial burden.
